Building Sustainable Water Infrastructure: City of Gresham's Approach Toward Effective Asset Management
The City of Gresham, Oregon, implemented a targeted pipe replacement program with non-invasive acoustic technology on cast iron and ductile iron mains, of all sizes to: understand if these buried mains, planned for reconstruction had another five or more years of service life remaining and make educated long term asset management decisions. The City's methodology and success on leveraging limited budgets for assessments and integrating the pipe wall thickness measurements into their asset management program are presented here.
