Echologics was proud to be part of a technology roadshow in California which was organized by the Consulates General of Canada in Los Angeles and San Diego, together with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. During the week-long event, Echologics representatives educated key regulatory and municipal leaders about the latest advances in smart water technology, including the EchoShore-DX continuous leak detection platform. California utilities are playing a key role in the evolution of this technology by serving as pilot test sites on both a small and large-scale. In addition to leak detection, Echologics has also completed dozens of water main condition assessment projects in California on a variety of pipe diameters and materials, including asbestos cement mains. Water main condition assessment programs enable water utilities to identify sections of pipe that have lost structural wall thickness and to develop targeted replacement programs to optimize capital improvement spending.
