Echologics recently attended Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) which is a global event for the water industry showcasing the latest technologies, best practices and business opportunities. It’s a strategic program launched by the Singapore Government to grow the water industry and develop water technologies for the greater Asian region.
Echologics and its parent company Mueller Co. were proud to be a Gold Sponsor and support numerous networking opportunities and private functions with water stakeholders and leaders. The event provided Echologics with an opportunity to showcase new smart water approaches that are being used in North America and Europe to help manage aging water networks and reduce water loss and Asia.
Singapore International Water Week also served as the official launch event for ePulse condition assessment technology in the region. The ePulse pipe inspection approach offers water companies a new tool to search for water leaks and to determine the condition of buried water pipes simultaneously – reducing program costs and enabling for larger portions of water networks to be quickly inspected. Several leading water companies in the region have selected and are having great success using Echologics technologies for small and large diameter leak detection, monitoring and condition assessment. This past April, Ranhill Holdings Bhd's subsidiary, Ranhill Water Services Sdn Bhd (RWS), was the latest company to announce that it was partnering with Echologics to further expand its capability in managing non-revenue water (NRW) using the EchoShore-M technology platform.
Over 60 people attended a smart water workshop, focusing on the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the water sector. The workshop included explanation on theory of acoustic leak detection and condition assessment technology, the challenges with current best practices for IoT, global project case studies and application experience by local partners.
