Echologics to Discuss Asbestos Cement Pipe Condition Assessment at Regional No-Dig Conference

ATLANTA, Oct. 22, 2012 — Marc Bracken, Vice President and General Manager of Echologics, will discuss the latest acoustic methods for asset management of asbestos cement (AC) water mains during the 8th Annual Western Regional No-Dig Conference & Exhibition (WESTT). The presentation will take place on Monday, Oct. 29th at the Ayres Hotel and Suites in Ontario, Calif.

Bracken, a recognized leak detection and pipe condition assessment expert, will educate water utilities on how to efficiently prioritize repair and replacement projects by non-invasively pinpointing leaks on AC pipe and measuring remaining pipe wall thickness.

Bracken has more than 18 years of experience in acoustical and vibration engineering and has presented numerous technical papers on leak detection and pipe condition assessment.
